We had such a great time at all our events last week! We hope you were able to join us, but just in case you had to miss it them, here’s a look at everything we did.
First, we had our Annual Bike Rodeo, which is co-hosted by the San Antonio Police Department. In addition to being fun and a great way to learn bike safety, the event serves a qualifier for the city-wide rodeo (check out this KSAT article about previous years’ winners). Students practiced riding within the lines, learned about helmet safety, and navigated a cone course to show off their skills!
Next up was the Pony Rides and Petting Zoo, always an end-of year favorite! Students had the chance to ride a very patient pony and got to pet and feed a menagerie of farm animals. The goats, bunnies, and a baby piglet were all huge hits.
Friday’s next event was Pet Day! We had so much fun meeting everyone’s adorable pets, from puppies to birds to turtles. Thank you to all the parents who brought their pets to school.
Our final event of the week was the Alumni Party! Over 30 of our students came “home” to listen to awesome music from Adam Tutor, eat pizza, and catch up with all their old friends. It’s always a good time to have a reunion. Some students also toured the elementary classrooms to see how much things have changed and what’s stayed the same. Make sure to join our mailing list to stay up-to-date on all our events and activities!
